Does anyone know what the carry capacity is for a burgman 650? I think they wiegh around 525 dry? Anyway would it be ok to carry two 200 lb people and some gear? I know the Scaraebo 500 can carry 450lb. Do you think the Burgman can do it too. Thanks. Jim

JLD, GVW is 999#.
Me and my wife toured around the state last fall, over 1,000 miles in 5 days with gear. I'm 190 my wife (shhh) 150, our riding clothes were about 20# and we had about 60# of gear and bags. I believe the 650 is closer to 570# wet, when full of gas and oil, giving you a real payload of about 430#. The bikes weight was right around 1,000 lbs. (Maxed). The ride was great, with plenty of power. I would caution to make sure the rear tire is at it's max pressure, and the rear shocks should be set to #5. I think I could have carried more with no problem.

I believe the GVW for the AN650 is 999 lbs. Bear in mind that in our litigation crazy society manufacturers tend to understate this figure.

The short answer is "yes" - the Burgman 650 can handle two adults plus gear.
