Hello everyone. I'm new to the board and the burgman. In fact, I ended up with a burgman by chance. Last summer I tried to sell my klr 650 but the market around here was terrible and despite several price drops, no luck. One day I happened to find an ad for an 06 burgman 650. The seller indicted he'd consider trades. Well, long story short, we traded. He was having the same trouble I was. I only considered this because my wife and I saw and sat on a burgman at the 2011 Chicago motorcycle show. We both loved the seat and, I guess a seed was planted. Well, even though the burgman had a few miles (32,000) I decided to give it a try. I've ridden motorcycles for over 30 years ( i'm in the mid 50s) had several different types and styles, but never a scooter. I liked it immediately but, frankly, I was confused for the first 2-3 weeks. I didn't know what to make of it - it didn't fit my preconceptions of a "scooter" and, well, it just did not compute Will Robinson. Fortunately the confusion didn't interfere with the fun. In the end a bit of bad luck turned into a great exchange and I am now a Burg-man and loving it. If I had been able to sell the klr as planned, i doubt i'd have a Burgman today. I hope the groundhog is right this year - I'm ready for spring. If you're in the area and see a tall guy in a day glow green jacket on a silver burgman, that's probably me. I hope you're enjoying fine weather, or at least dreams of a fun season to come.
