I found a slightly used Givi 56 liter case on Ebay under an auction. Came off a 2012 R1200GS and had the mounting plate for that bike also. Besides some wear and tear marks on it the lock had only one key per owner. Starting bid was $150.00 and $49.06 shipping. I ended up being the only one to bid on it so got it for $211.62 with tax. I'm going to sell the GS mounting plate on the BMW forum or Ebay and recoup some of that. Ordered a blank Givi key for it already.

The cheapest I found it in the states is on Tour and Ride for $405.00 plus tax.

I would have liked to have gotten the one with the red rear reflectors but frugal people can't be too choosey.

I have had my old 46 liter Givi for years but couldn't resist going bigger! There is an auxiliary brake light kit available for the trunk also.

Just wanted to brag a little.

That mount has an alumimn under plate that may be able to redrilled to fit your 400. The top part just bolts to the bottom and is universal. I'd bet a metal shop could bend a new one for the 400.

Look in the Classifieds, there was a member selling a mount for a 400.

It looks exactly like my Givi mounting plate minus that metal plate underneath.

The 400 uses 4 bolts into the subframe under the tail tupperware. The 650 uses just 3.

Received a huge box today. The Givi56 liter is hugemongous. Totaly overkill. Some pictures of it on the BMW R1100RT. Won't need the side bags with that. Comes with a small pad for the bottom of the trunk also.

Looks like the trunk can carry 8 Red Baron pizzas or two cats!

Going to sell the GS monokey combo mounting plate and monokey attachment and recoup some of the money. The seller didn't do a very good job packing it pretty much just put the trunk in the box with no padding or plastic covering. Some fine scratches from shipping. He did state returns not accepted. I did get a good deal though.
