I have been thinking about a new GPS for a while and ran across this offer

http://www.gpsexplorer.com/Garmin-StreetPilot-2610 -($150-Rebate)-P242.aspx#

GPS Explorer has an additional $50 rebate for the 2610 and $60 for the 2620. The rebate is through the end of this month. They have the 2610 on sale (through Dec 25th) for $778 with no tax (except for CA) and no shipping.

Think I will play Santa and order myself a 2610.

Bill I have been told that this model used a micro drive and because of that is subject to jolt and can cause the unit to go in and out especially when using it with a plotted route. I have the 2610 and I think it is great and if you worry about the size of the compact flash that comes with the unit being too small you can get a 2 gig flash card for under $200 and you can load the entire country on it.

Thats a great price (only $150 rebate on the 2610)- the 2610 is a great unit. It is suitable for motorcycles, (as I believe it is the 2620 that has the microdrive).
