My glove box latch (part attached to the bike) broke. The base where the metal rod is attached that the actual door latch holds on to broke on the ends. I tried abs glue and fiberglass (sheet) and it worked for a while. I then tried just epoxy and it worked for a bit shorter than a while. I'm thinking of cutting up the fiberglass into small(er) segments/pieces and mixing with the ABS glue, but ...
Any easy fixes?

You might be able to fabricate a patch piece of aluminum larger than the damaged area then attach it with screws into undamaged plastic.

Other than that the strongest way I have found to repair the plastic is to plastic weld it.

FWIW I picked up some locktite plastic epoxy (it said it would work) and it seesm to be doing the job pretty well. Of course, time will tell!
