Hello Gang;
I have a cable in my glove box that runs into the battery compartment. Is this for charging, starting, accessories, etc? It looks as though it is from the manufacturer as it's a very neat job but perhaps the previous owner installed it. Do any of you have this? Perhaps it's standard equipment?

At least none that I didn't put there.

If you are talking about a polarized electrical connector,
it is for a Battery Tender.....a Battery Tender Plus or
a Battery Tender JR come with a polarized plug on the
cord to keep your battery charged-up/maintained.
These devices will keep your battery 'up-to-snuff'
without 'cooking' your battery. There are other brands
of battery tenders that do the same job, but may have
different connectors.
