Hello All,

I recently installed my Givi AF266 on my 2009 Burgman 400.

I have gaps in the front of the windscreen where the rubber molding meets the windscreen.

I have installed per the instructions and videos posted by Dave online.

Anyone else have this issue?

I was afraid of that. I think my shield is defective.

Do you recall the sequence you performed when installing and tightening the screws?

Also, for the bottom grommets, did you install them through the shield, same way the OEM shield was fitted?

Thanks

No, I didn't.

The front grommets were a pain. I used the longer screws to help hold them in place, but had to install the rear most screws loosely it order to get them in and it took 3-4 tries.
It looks like your windshield is low in the front in order to have that gap at the rear.
The gap won't affect the wind protection, it is not a functional issue.

Givi is going to send me a replacement shield. I have been doing some measurements against the OEM shield, the shape is much different. I find it hard to believe no one else has seen this.
