I'll be taking off from Hutchinson, Kansas next Monday after work to head to a ukulele festival near Nashville, Indiana.

The route I'm taking is right around 800 miles each way give or take 30 miles. I'm taking US 36 on the way there and mostly US 54 on the way back. I'll be camping the entire time, two nights on the way there, 4 nights at the festival and two more nights on the way home.

I'm packing fairly light, compact tent, compact sleeping bag, little camp stove, my smallest ukulele, some tools and clothes.

I'm packing about everything except clothes under the seat. The rest will go in a back pack. I took a shorter version of this method about a month ago.

Today I "downgraded" my handlebars to stock height and put on a quieter stock muffler. I also got my horn working and found out it is a very loud air horn. With all of there fixes, I'm feeling pretty good for living on the Burgman for 10 days.

Close, I'm actually going to a small ukulele festival closer to Needmore the first week of June, I wish I could stay and go to Bean blossom, but not in the cards this year.

So, hills, will I really enjoy them?

I'm looking forward to the trip. I'll post photos. I've never been but I just love music festivals and I've never been to a "uke only" one.

This was the smallest case that would fit into the trunk, I had to retrofit this case with a lining and padding. It was originally just a chipboard case with no lining. I didn't want the uke getting vibrated to death in there. I usually strap my ukes to the luggage rack when traveling but this scoot doesn't have one.

This is my Scooter Ukulele group http://www.scukesters.com

re-lined case:

Well, you have to admit, makes more sense than a bass fiddle! ;)

Ha! I play that too, way harder to take on a scooter. I do have a ukulele bass too though. But it needs an amp to go with it.
