I see that gates has a drive belt out there for about $85.00...anybody tried one?

It's done just over 1500 miles now cant tell any difference from the org one
when I changed the org one at 14000 ish miles it was just showing slight cracking
at the base of 1 or 2 teeth, but was within spec for width.

Since your signature indicates that you may be bi-located, I'd be interested to know if you find a retail source in the US for the belt.

When I chimed in on Ralph M's earlier post about the belt, I conducted a part number search using the Google, but didn't find any retail sales outlets. It may be that, at least in the US, it may have to be special ordered from a local belt and rubber supplier.

Sorry in the UK the belt came from Scotland so I don't know were you would get one in the US

For anyone else who stumbles upon this thread, Scooter West sells Gates belts for the 2006 and earlier Burgman 400s which is P/N DB30-GAT and they sell the Malossi belt for 2007 and newer Burgman 400s which is P/N M6113396.

Mine is a 2011 model so I guess I'm still looking for the Gates replacement in the US that Ralph M found in Scotland.
