I'm not sure what the offer is. I have a spare 1450 without lifetime maps which is reminding me my maps are not current.

Would inserting the chip make it LTM? Or just put the latest version of maps in it? I just don't see how Garmin is going to allow a product it sells, LTM or map upgrades, transferable via a chip.

I do not see how you have the rights to sell this.
A buyer will essentially gain a memory card with 'unlockable' maps. Garmin seems to be pedantic in associating map products to a device.
No offence intended.

I wouldn't post it if it wouldn't work in another gps.
I don't need 23 bucks that bad!
