...how does an oil user become "satisfied"? No failures? Failures are unlikely in Suzuki products which are typically owned for less than 20,000 miles.
I'm not dissing Amsoil. I've used Mobil 1 in everything mechanical for years. But I tend to trade cars with under 70,000 miles; and with other machinery it's hard to tell if there's an advantage...or disadvantage.
My Xingyue crapped the bed with 2600 miles. It had two oil changes with Mobil 1. Did Mobil 1 do it?...there's an argument, not compelling, that it might have. Nor is Mobil 1 better or worse than Amsoil.
It's a crap shoot. But from my reading, I'm comfortable with the advantages of syn-oil. Although there's an argument to using mineral oil in break-in.
But I'll listen to the other side on this...small engines are often engineered with specific specifics and expectations.
