Holy Mutha........

I just snapped the end off my right hand brake lever (the knob on the end) from my burgman 650.

$112 Australian dollars to replace it. (Currently about US$80)

Are they kidding or what!

Has anybody a reasonable solution to this?

Can you say eBay

There is a seller on eBay parting-out 2 Burgman 650's. Might be a cheap source for a new lever. Other than finding another used source, your only other reasonable avenue might be a generic after market lever (Dennis Kirk, Chapparel, Motorcycle Warehouse etc).

Good luck.

Broken brake levers

Great idea Greg,

I'll try e-bay and maybe check for a set of real levers like Magura.

Who needs adjustables anyhow.

Thanks

Front brake lever - broken

Hey dudes,

I sourced a lever (same kit as original from the local bike wrecker),

Brand new adjustable lever - $35 Australian dollars...

Heaps bloody better than $112 :)

How did you brake the lever, strong pull on panic stop? Just looked up price at Ron Ayers, front lever #57300-33E01= $40.67 , Back brake lever part # 57500-10G00 26.96 US. Hope this helps. Keep the rubber side down.
