While in Florida last week I forgot what made me take notice of the front brake reservoir but when I apply the brake all the fluid in the sight glass was gone just as when you start the engine all the oil in the sight glass disappears. The rear did not suffer this same problem, the front brake felt fine but I wondered why the fluid in the sight glass would disappear like that. Anyone else ever notice this or who ever ride again take a look and see if your does this.

While riding with Capt Denny he also notice the same thing on this Burg and said it seem to be fine but something tell me this should not happen and if it's normal then why does the rear not suffer the same effect as the front, I wonder if air might be in the line but as I said the brake seemed to work just fine.

Only have 2500 miles and the pad still look like new to me as the rear.
I suspect the level is either low and/or you had the handlebars turned on sloping ground.

If none of the above then you may have a hose defect and the hose is swelling or 'ballooning' under pressure!

Brake Fluid

When you pull the brake lever the master cylinder pushes fluid down the brake line, this makes the fluid level go down slightly in the reservoir and when you release the lever the fluid comes back up, I think you will find that it just needs topping up a bit.

Cheers
Ian

PS. this happens with all hydraulic brakes on all vehicles.
