Picked up a pair of Firstgear Mesh Lo Boots today from a local shop. I was looking for something that was casual and comfortable enough for walking about, but provided protection and some technical features associated with "motorcycle boots". I believe that these are gonna fit the bill on a number of fronts.
Provides toe-box and heel protection. has protection for the ankles and other areas are hardened as well. Mesh on the sides and the upper provides some cooling air flow. Wore them for a short ride today and even though our feet and legs are well protected from the fairings, these still were comfortable and cool.
