I recently upgraded the LED bars behind the lens on my top box and ended up with 3 extra bright red LED bars on my hand.

I decided to put them to good use as additional brake light bars which I added to the back of my 650.

I used the saddlebag mounts as the support platform for the left / right bars.
I attached the top bar to the base plate support plate.

I am quite impressed with the outcome, especially for daytime use.

Put together a quick DIY for those that may be interested: Farkle - Brake Light Bars

A few pics as usual, watch the video for the full effect:

I think the UFO flashing lights might be a bit mesmerizing, I might rear end something like that.

I bought strips of red LEDs off of Amazon. They come in a 15ft length that can be cut to size in 3" increments for all of $8.00. They are very thin so I added more LEDs under the lens covers on my Givi box. Really worked well.

Have you Guys heard of the Blackpool Illuminations

Le Dude it looks great.
For years I would decorate my wife's and my VWs for our Bug clubs annual Christmas Lights Tour. This was the "old days" and the lights were incandescent rope lights that ran off 120V AC, so I had to add extra batteries and and a couple of 400W power inverters to run them in my red bug that had twice as many lights as the purple one. It was one continuous string and everything was held on by masking tape and used black electrical tape to cover the unwanted light sections. During the day when I drove it back and forth to work it looked like the back to the future car, but at night it was a sight to behold. :D

I am either going to get rear ended by MJR who is going to be mesmerized by light show or keep those sleepy cagers awake and get their attention.

Still have some tweaking to do, but that's for later this Fall.....

I haven't done a lot of night driving lately, have to wait and see what kind of reaction I get from the real world drivers out there... may have to add a dimmer/Controller for night time use if it turns out to be too bright.
