How difficult is it to remove on a 2006 B400 the bolts that hold the exhaust header to the head? I want to remove the pipe because in removing the muffler one of the studs broke off, so now I only have one good bolt to hold the muffler on. The bike has 8000 miles and I assume these bolts have never been removed and I am concerned that if I attempt to remove them I may have the same results I had with the flange stud that secures the muffler. I would like to hear from the members who have removed these in the past and what experiences they had in doing.

They are awkward to get to and put back on but if you use a penetrating oil first it shouldn't be too difficult.
Good Luck!

I believe it is either a 5 or 6mm allen wrench with extension on a socket. Once you remove them, be sure to check the gasket in between the muffler and the exhaust for cracks. Use anti-seize when putting them back is highly recommended.
