Just picked up a 2003 AN650. Bike has been repainted but does not have any of the OEM emblems on it. Would like to get all these and put them back on but dealer wants $200 for all of them! That's pretty steep! Anyone know of a cheaper route to get these (especially the two 'Burgman 650' emblems on each side of the bike.) I wonder if I could get a sign shop to make these all for me in vinyl? Just need to find what the font it is. Any help would be appreciated on alternatives to dealers ricdiculous prices.

I'm a kiwi over in mainland China.
I just had a quick look on China's equivalent to eBay here, and I can source "Skywave" in either the chrome or gold finish that would go under the seat, and the "S" for Suzuki that would stick at the bottom of the screen on the screen plastic cover. The price is about US$15. I could help buying them for you, then shipping them either by registered China post or airmail. The registered post might cost more than the items themselves, but unsure. I just sent a OEM Jetmax luggage rack and pillion grab rails to Russia from here and used China International post, as I can source a lot of items for bikers especially Chinese manufactured items for the likes of CFMoto (I have 3 of their models). Have sent other items to Turkey, UK, Egypt, though all items have been big and bulky. On the box that went to Russia, China International Post were the cheapest for a one off item, as it's not a country where people send a lot of stuff too from here, well not to the same extent as between China and most other places it seems. We had to send the item to a logistics company in Shanghai who then sent it from there.

It's just an idea, to help another biker out, as I'm very active on multiple motorcycling sites, yamahasupertenere.com mychinamoto.com maxi-sccots.com advrider.com and many others, I get the odd request from time to time, though it's not my business... I work in medicine and healthcare. I use Paypal if that helps.

BTW, there are no "BURGMAN" emblems only "SKYWAVE" and some are inclusive of "SKYWAVE 650" depending on the seller.

For a whopping $8.70, delivered, ordered a set of "Sky Wave" emblems on ebay, coming from Hong Kong on a very slow boat!. Agree with greenheron- should be a conversation starter. I removed the Burgman lettering within a week of getting the bike, but like the notion of causing puzzled looks.

The Suzuki logo is a custom proprietary type. It measures 0.6 x 1.2. and is a unique Italic type style.

The closest if have found on the net is standard Italic 1.2 x 1.2 which doesn't look to bad. It runs about $2.95 per letter.

Burgman 650 x2 = approx. $60... still it's a lot cheaper then $200 from dealer.

I'm from the generation where we "shaved" our hot rods as teenagers and removed all identification. If it was me, I would leave it blank and let people wonder.

I just looked at the Suzuki Parts online and for an 09 the Burgman emb. is $32.17, the 650 emb. is $14.67, and the Executive emb. is $7.38. That's a total of $54.22 per side, $54.22 twice is $108.44. Decals and emblems are usually expensive for what you get, but that's just motorcycling, if you look at the parts online, I found them listed under Side Panels.
