On my 2009 AN 650, there is a yellow switch on the front of the left hand grip. What is it? I see no identifying markings. I just feel quite stupid not noticing the yellow switch and even more inept not knowing what it is. And...no I can't find my owners manual. Thanks in advance. Ride safely.

Flash to pass, momentary high beam.

No question is a bad question, that's how we all learn.
When I ride, I always have my high beams on for high
visibility, so what I do to flash potential on coming traffic
is to push my starter button. This makes the lights go "on and off"
in front so they can notice me.
Just food for thought.

Just so long as your not holding in a brake lever. :)

First, I only do this infrequent and quick split second timing so they see me and second
with no brakes and also not when there is a car in front of me. in that case I would simply
flash my bright lights at them to pass.
good thoughts tho.

I never have used the pass switch for its intended purpose, so I rewired it to be the trigger for a Homelink garage door opener I got in the junkyard. I can start my garage door opening from about a block away so it's open when I get there. Great in the rain.
