This may best be posted in the Newbie section, but maybe the B400 may be different than others. I've just bought a 2008 B400 and want to remove the driver seat to make some modifications. The finger latch under the seat allows the seat tubes to move forward a bit, but the seat firmly stops after several inches of advancement. How do I find the seat stop and continue the advance to remove the seat?

There are 2 retaining screws underneath - one for each butt bumper rod.
These have to be removed in order to remove the butt bumper.

They are in there very tight. They look like a Phillips head, but are actually to JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) which is slightly different.

If you try using a Phillips screwdriver, you stand a good chance of stripping the head.

Thanks, Leo38, but after I removed these two screws entirely, the backrest still moved forward about 3 or 4 inches and stopped firmly, seemingly against a stop.

Oooops....sorry. I was unscrewing the wrong pair. I found the location of the stop screws in a past discussion and will try to remove them.
