Drive belt and brakes - when should you change them

I have 8700 miles on my bike. Most of the miles have been in town. Should I be looking at changing my drive belt already and brakes? I did have the change out my rear tire.

brake pads on the 08 front and back have wear indicators that are easy to see with just a flashlight and someone to help get you off the floor when you get down there.mic the belt when you change final drive oil, specs are in bkb its easy!
