I took my bike in to have the annoying "dieseling" noise fix done. My dealer had both the part as well as the loaner tool from Suzuki Canada. I delivered the bike at 4:00 and the mechanic thought it might be possible for me to pick it up the next day at about 5:00. However, a modest seventy minutes after dropping the bike off the phone rang. Yup, the fix had been done, the "dieseling" sound was gone and the bike was ready to be picked up.

The noise, by the way, has completely disappeared, although other posts have suggested that it gradually reappears. We'll see.

In any event, it appears to be a very easy fix.

Just several hundred miles after the fix, my dieseling noise is back. I think it sounds just like it did before. It doesn't bother me that much, except that the "fix" seems ineffective.

I may have the dealer call Suzuki about it when I bring the 650 in to have the new Pirelli rear tire mounted in a week or two. It's not worth a special trip to the shop.
