Did my first oil change tonight (a couple hundred miles late).
Very easy. Almost too easy to warrant a breakdown of steps.
Others have documented it well enough already.
Anyone with a metric socket set can do this procedure in a short time.
Just be careful torquing screws into aluminum to avoid a nightmare.
If you are not used to 'wrenching' you might wish to spend the money on a good torque wrench and check service manual for appropriate foot/inch-pounds.

Selias,
I have always just gone by "feel", but you make a very good point,
If you are not used to 'wrenching' you might wish to spend the money on a good torque wrench
Could save a newbie a world of trouble :)

I've got a question..... any difference if you drain the oil on the mainstand and sidestand?

Which is recommended? The service manual and the owner's manual seem to be contradicting!
