Finally I get to join the lucky few people who can say I bought a AN650 Burgman. Only had 4km on the clock.
How the hell do I get the grin off my face my cheeks are starting to get really sore.
I had decided to buy the Burgman and then found this web site and that convinced me.
Thanks to all for the sheer volume of information.
And to any one who wants to know Iv'e call it Mandy after my wife.
Now I can get away with saying I love you Mandy and your so beautifull Mandy and everyone is happy.
However I did get caught out with I love riding you Mandy.
No sence of humour sometimes.

Hell of an idea, naming your bike after your wife !!
Wouldn't work for me. I'd have to name the Burgman after my ex-wife. And I'd never insult my 400 with those (4-letter) names.

Smile not as big

Gavin,
Congratulations on your new purchase. Wife and I traded our two Helix's for the 650 Burgman's September 9th and our smiles have finally started fading a little, only because WINTER is just around the corner.

Have Fun!

Not many big scooters up here either but the guy I bought it off says they do about eight a year. Trying to find them is the fun part. Iv'e seen one Burgman and one of the new X9's by Piaggio.

So far I've only had one trip down the Gold Coast and back still doing the run it in thing but I'm looking forward to Xmas to do some serious rides.

We'll have to go riding when you finally get sick of Vic and move to QLD like all the other southerners.

I know what you mean having been born in NSW and only having lived in QLD for 31 years. Apparently the blue still shows. :D

I do envy you those roads though. :(

Enjoy the trip.
