I just purchased a 2012 Exec. With all of the talk about belt failure, I am considering the SEP from Onida(?). Is the belt, bearings, etc covered under the SEP? Has anyone used the SEP from them and if so, what was your experience?
Thanks for all of the help...

When Robbin's CVT failed because of bearing failure her extended warranty covered the repairs. So if you have a catastrophic failure (bearings, primary pulley, etc.) it will cover but if you just have a simple belt break then it likely won't because the belt is considered a wear item.

Where it might get tricky is if you have say both belt and bearing failure at the same time. Then they might try to argue that the belt caused the bearing failure and not want to pay for any of it.

Under the contract as Buffalo said wear items (the drive belt) are not covered. Now if as he said other stuff fails and it can't be blamed on the belt they may cover if but I wouldn't guarantee that or count on it. They could just make you pay for the belt and they repair the rest.
