My 06 400 starts, runs and idles beautifully. About once every 2 weeks, I will be at a stop light, idling, and when I apply throttle to pull away the engine stops abruptly. The engine will start up right away, although sometimes this cycle repeats. The bile has done this for a long time, but its time to dive in a find a fix.

There is no spitting, coughing, or other symptoms of fuel starvation, no FI light, the idle is steady and the cuttoff is absolute with no chance to return to idle. When the engine restarts it runs correctly.

I have 14K miles, and recently changed the spark plugs, otherwise just routine oil changes.

Thanks for ideas and suggestions.

Wow I posted to this earlier today and it's gone.......................
Anyways, I used to have this happen to me too.
The last time it happened I opened the gas cap and it sucked in a big gulp of air. I figured the cap was not venting properly so I cleaned it thoroughly with degreasers and solvents. I have not had it happen again for almost 2 years now.
Another thought is cleaning the idle screw.
Good Luck!
