With many many person that look for work in USA, why are CS job not given to good folk in USA who need job.

Spent 30 minutes with cheap labor person located on other planet who must speak Martian as communication with her very very difficult, must spell + repeat everything all time. !

try to have someone nearby go look at hotel if you can, web page not always right, many hotels her have been taken as franchises by people who are out to make money and not keep up quality , bedbugs are coming back in a few areas, nothing ruins a good vacation/holiday like getting to your destination and finding your hotel is run by a family sleeping in the back office cooking on a burner and cleaning your bedclothes once a month in the ditch out front if it rains to save some money and no bulbs in the lamps in your room

Have you noticed that many motels are now owned and operated by people from India and similar countries? You can be standing at the counter and get the same bad English and understanding problem. They all seem to be owned by someone with a last name of Patel.

Perhaps it is because those who are not indigenous to western countries really want to work, I mean 'work' as opposed to most of the west who are fat and lazy and looking for an easy life - preferably with the taxpayer paying the bills too.

Yes it can get quite emotional, but the economics are rather more compelling.

I remember 6 or 7 years ago reading about the trouble GM were in in, dealing with local competition with Toyota. It was said that GM had 5 retirees in the back seat of every car for every two employees building a car, whereas the Toyota had zero retirees to fund from their bottom line. To top it off GM were producing low quality vehicles as opposed to Toyota who had set the quality and reliability benchmark. So what happened to jobs in both companies?

It gives me no pleasure, the same thing happened in the UK motor industry and there are continuing problems with many big companies here who have scarily high pension fund liabilities when compared to their net worth. In fact when you look at a big company like British Airways and look at the balance sheet you soon realise it is not in the airline business at all - it is in the employee pensions business. Go figure.

The bottom line is employee pay/benefits/productivity are fundamental to a viable business especially in the context of survival in the 'global village'.

Interesting article.. 37% of all motels in America are owned by the Patel family.

I have deleted another post in this thread and to avoid me wasting even more of my life on folks who seem intent on breaching forum rules I have reluctantly decided to lock the thread.
