Well after looking and looking for a nice passenger backrest, I found nothing to my liking.
My wife was used to the nice seat and backrest of the 1800 Goldwing I had and needed to
find something better than that crumby little butt stop that came on the 650. So after
getting the Volvo back rest for me, I took the butt pad from the driver seat and mounted
it right on top of the small worthless one for the passenger. I got some 1" by 1/8" steel
and made some mounting brackets for it and then had the wife sew a black vinyl cover for
the back of it. Looks pretty good and the wife loves it.....so that problem is solved. I
bolted the brackets to the steel inside that passenger butt pad and to the steel on the butt
pad that was for the driver....all worked out well.......total cost was about $10 and 6 hrs.
Ya Ya.....I'm old and slow and that why they call me the Putz.......but it was the first one.
