I just ordered a Corbin seat for my new 2005 Burgman 650 and it looks like the rider seating area is shorter than it was when I bought a Corbin for my 2003 Burgman 650 (I sold it with a seat). Does anyone know if I'm right or wrong? People at Corbin couldn't definitely answer my question. I also remember that there were two different options for the seat - standard and close. Now they offer just one. Didn't they make just one average size out of two seats ?

Does the Corbin still eliminate one of the helmet storage spaces? I'm not willing to give up storage - it is one of my main attractions.

I got an email from Chad who is a Corbin sales manager. That's what he wrote:
"What happened we found our standard seat was to far back and most
people needed our close model so often that we stopped selling the standard and went only to the close. We can still get the standard made for a taller person."
Beware when you're ordering!

Does anybody know if the "close" saddle eats up the helmet space?

Here is one more answer from Corbin about the difference between standard and close versions:

"The only differece really is the length of each
seating area. The driver is around 17.5"
in length and the passenger is around 12.5" in length."
