I was adding coolant to my bike and overflowed it. Now I can't find the lid anywhere. I think it's under the coolant tank inside the bike. Does anyone know where I can get a new one? It isn't the radiator cap. It's the overflow cap.
You can order one from Suzuki. Part number is 17932-12C00. Ron Ayers shows it to be $2.99. Other online retailers might have it cheaper. It's item number 12 on this fiche. http://www.ronayers.com/Fiche/TypeID/5/ ... IATOR_HOSE
That same cap is used on a lot of Suzuki bikes (Ron Ayers' cross reference stopped listing at 100 different models but indicated there were more) so you may be able to find it in a wrecking yard. That also bodes well for your local dealer having one in stock so you might give them a call. .
Just make sure to lost cap isn't stuck in the radiator fan.
I personally would strip my bike apart looking for it to make sure it is not jammed where it will cause other problems!
