I trying to take out my built in cd/dvd burner from my HP desktop pc and - after "opening" 2 "levers" - I still can't remove it. Is there a trick on how to remove it as I don't see anything else that could b the reason why it isn't coming out?

A picture is worth a 1000 words in this situation.
HP makes several types of desktop computer cases and they have different mounting procedures.
Check for any screws or tabs holding it in place or call HP support.

its out of warranty so too pricey to contact support.

It may be designed to slide out the front. If it is you will have to take the front "face" panel off and then slide it forward.

thanx to both of u! I did have to remove it from the front and an article on the internet showed me how to remove the front panel so all is good now!!!!!!!!!!!!!
