I have averaged about 12,000 miles on rear tires,
& about 16,000 on front tires. My riding is on good
paved asphalt roads.
Southern coastal areas that have roads that have
crushed sea shells in the asphalt, will experience
much more rapid wear.

Well done Mic, and nice video. Video felt like a NASA robo cam, cool.

Mic probably stops exclusively with his front brake, I'm sure he could pull of a rad stop-e.

^+1, the limerock used in the McAdam here in N.E. Florida chews up bike tires...
I talked to a paving crew working on a parking lot
in Port Charlotte, & was told that there wasn't
an operating gravel-pit in central or south Florida...
gravel has to be brought in from Georgia...so crushed
sea shells are used to keep the cost reasonable.

Uhm, that tire was done long before 16000 miles IMO.

Your tires are the only only thing separating you and the road.....if you want to cheap out and take them past the wear bars to where they're actually dangerous, dont brag about it to me.

a video showing the tires... 16,112 miles on the old tire - Bridgestone Hoop, a lot of high speed highway wear on it.

16,112 miles on Bridgestone Hoop Tire from 07+ Burgman 400 - YouTube on my mitch's scooter stuff youtube channel
Mitch is one very cool guy and before I attempt any 400 maintenance on my '08..I always look at his videos... Never steered me wrong, so far!

Last week was the first time I did and oil & filter change on my 400 and if it were not for watching his video beforehand - I would have removed the wrong bolt to drain the oil......... Thanks again, Mitch :headbang::headbang:
