I was pleasantly surprised this morning. I went for a short ride to Walmart and didn't want to get all bundled up with my normal winter clothes since it was only a short trip to Walmart. I wore my down jacket and my summer gloves with the handlebar mitts on the handle bars.

The Eddie Bauer down jacket was really warm and windproof. It's light as a feather.(maybe because it's made from feathers). I would not suggest riding with it in the rain and there's no armor but boy is it warm. It packs down the size of a soft ball for storage.

This is the first time I rode with the mitts. They did keep the hands from the cold but the bad thing is you can't reach the turn signals. They cost under $20.

I rode comfortably this winter with my North-Face Himalayan one piece down suit in temps as low as 7 degrees Fahrenheit . The suit is absolutely amazing , nothing goes through it . Now if I could find gloves and boots as effective as the suit .
