Hi,

Can anyone explain to me about how the clutch works? I understand the roller weights now, but the part on the other side that has clutch shoes. I was wondering what that part does, if it's best to keep stock, or if I should upgrade to the dr. pulley hit clutch? Thx.

Very simple friction clutch just like on my 1970 Golden Pinto Mini Bike. Centripetal force pushes the shoes out to make contact to complete the drive force transfer of the motor.

So, if that slips then, what happens? I'm looking at either putting new shoes on my stock one, or just getting the dr. pulley one. Is that supposed to change something?
