The instructions say to use a mild soap on the face shield and on other parts use a neutral soap. Do they mean hand soap that comes in a pump type container or what?

I doubt it, most hand soaps have things in them that would cause streaking on the fce shield. I clean my whole Nolan with Pledge, face shield and all.

thanx Mikey!!!! u just made me realize that I don't have to spend money on water to take a shower. I will just go outside with a bar of soap come April from now on.

Yes, I've been cleaning face shields on helmets with it since the late 70s when I started riding. An article in a motorcycle magazine recommended. Said it was one of the few things available at that time that would clean without damaging the plastic. Since I have always had good results with it I continue to use it. I use the same thing to clean the windshield on my bike.

Interesting, will try it myself. Have been using the stuff I use for my hdtv screen but will switch to Pledge.

I use Plexus
I used Plexus until I found out Pledge also does a good job at a much lower price and it is available everywhere. I was advised to always use Lemon Pledge.
