Anyone besides me got over 8500 miles on thier 400 yet? If so do you guys think it's really nessasary to ck the valves every 3500 miles or do you think at some point it would only be nessarsary to ck them every 7000 or more. Have some of you cked them at 600, 4000, 7500 ect. and found that they didnot need adjusting? It seems like they are getting cked an awful lot.

It's time for me to do my next service and yes ... I will be checking the valves. No reason for me to give Suzuki a way to void my warranty. ;)

I would check them at 600, then from the experiences here on the net, I would let em go until 10K. After a check and adjustment at 10K, I am not sure I would check them again until 30K...even then, I am betting they will be spot on at that time.

See, I have screw type adjusters on my Honda CR-V...first check called for is 110,000 miles.

Thanks for all the input fella's. It does seem to me that cking them every 15,000 miles (unless of course the engine doesnot sound right or is not running right) instead of every 3500 makes more sence. Or 10 might be a good number if they hadn't been cked at 600, 4000, and again at 7500
