I am thinking of riding from Daytona area to Lake George N.Y. for Americade which is in June. I was looking at riding back roads and coming through central Pa and figured 3 to 31/2 days. Where in central PA did you start from?
Central PA to Daytona on an AN 400 in winter
Amazing what a Suzuki Burgman will do. I left for Daytona on Mar 7th at 37 degrees on my wife's Burgman, 400cc. It will cruise at 80 all day carrying a big load. Excellent weather protection, best thing in the garage right now for a long trip... 1023 miles one way to my campground.
Two days on the way down and two days on the way back at below 40 degrees. Heavy rain and 32 degrees crossing the Blue Ridge. I was warm and dry with the use of hand warmers in pant pockets and boots, and most important the 12v heated jacket and heated hand grips under Hippo Hands.
