I was about to go out for a ride when I noticed that the center stand had not fully retracted.

I put it back on and off the CS and noticed that it was not fully retracting.

A quick spurt of WD40 and working it in and it was perfect again.

I think that I might have been able to ride the bike without the CS having fully retracted and the first lean would have resulted in a startling scraping and noise. It might have affected the turn radius and possibly cause a fall.

I had forgotten what I had been taught in my MSF Class about going around the bike before riding out: T-CLOCs pre-ride inspection.

Our scoots are so easy to get on and ride away that we forget the basics.

Thanks,
Simba

If the center stand switch is working correctly, the transmission would not upshift if the stand is not completely retracted. You will know it quickly.
