CB Radios

I'm thinking of getting a hand held CB Radio for my 650. With a built in antenna and using internal batteries it should solve the electrical noise. The only problems I see is hearing the radio and how to transmit. Rather then trying to re-invent the wheel what do you suggest. I don't want large speakers on the bike I want a small removable one. Can these be used as a mike and speaker? Without a head phone would I be able to hear it with a helmet on and the wind noise while riding. This setup will only be used while riding with a group. I don't need music, Blue Tooth or hi-fidelity sound.
