Find a good, independent motorcycle mechanic in your area. That's what I did and there's no way I'll ever go back to a dealer. Start with the phone book and talk to them, they're friendly.

Jon,

If you haven't already, you should invest in the Suzuki service manual.

Jon, come on over to N.C....only a couple of thousand miles or so...and we will do yours today after I finish mine. I'll be doing mine for the second time...the first was at 600 and this one is at 6200. Curious to see how the intakes have changed.

My wife's Burgie is coming into our finished-off basement/rec room this winter to get a valve adjustment in a warm, dry, and well lit area.

She (wifey) is aware that her bike is coming to live on a wall-to-wall carpet, and is OK with that! (Although an oil spot on the rug will probably cost me my life!)

She is a good woman.....

I would go with the phone book and the local independant mechanic. There should be a good mechanic out there somewhere. :)

There's always the possibility of several local Burg owners getting together and doing services together.

Try posting in the Rallies and Gatherings section of the Forum.
Several members have done just that and gotten together to learn to do maintenance on their bikes together.
