Being a newbie to this forum, I'm unable to find any information about any scheduled campouts or rallys held by the members of the Burgman groups. Does anyone have any information about this?? If there are any I would like to go. Being retired I have the time now. I live in the Northwest. THANX YA'LL

A four day three night "rolling rally" is in the infancy for middle part of Colorado in the last week of June. Keep an eye on this site for postings.

Well the only rally I know of with camping is this one: http://www.tampa2stroke.com/ I don't know of any rally's specifically for Burgman's if that is what you mean. Although Burgies do seem to be the "scooter of choice" for most serious riders.

Florida is nice this time of year although it may be a little wet in the spring.

Look at scoot.net. Campouts and rallys all over the place if you look at the calendar. Only caveat is to read the fine print. While most scooter groups welcome just about anyone, some are very specific on the types of scooters that they welcome, i.e. Vespa only, 2-stroke only, etc.

The Cabana Boys scooter club in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area is mainly a Vespa/Lambretta group,
and there are BUNCH of them....focused on all the old stuff. Yeh...they let the 'newer' guys
participate, but they are really into helping each other fix-up & run the older scooters.
They sponsor a weekend camp-out at a city park down in Waxahachie, a bit south of Dallas,
every year, & I got to spend the day riding with them...there were 3 of us on Burgmans,
& 1 fellow on a nicely rebuilt oldie Goldwing...we all got a very nice welcome from the Boys.
So...there are still some of the old 2-stroke scooters running around.

Oh yes! Lots of older ones still around, or you can buy a brand new Stella 2-stroke (not in California...) which is an Indian copy of the old Vespa PX-150.

Even Reno has a scooter club (the Bomb Squad) devoted to the old Vespas and Lambrettas. They used to do a yearly 3-day rally which had an interesting history. First year anyone with a scooter could attend - they had a huge turnout of scooterists on everything from Burgmans down to Honda Metropolitans, and, of course, a lot of old Vespas and Lambrettas. Somehow the turnout of the newer (i.e. automatic) scoots offended someone. Second year your ride had to be a certain number of years old OR two-stroke. Wouldn't you know it, a lady showed up with an ancient Yamaha *automatic* scooter that made the age limit! Darn! Third rally was limited to geared scooters (i.e. you had to be able to shift it manually) and this finally made everyone happy. Of course, the turnout was pretty small at this point and no more local rally after the 3rd iteration.
