Give the back of the seat a whack down with you fist then turn the key. That will sometimes work. If it doesn't then push down hard on the back of the seat while you turn the key. If neither of those things work then you have bigger problems.
Burgman 650 seat won't open?
I have a 2006 Burgman and I can't get the seat to open when I push the key in and turn it to the left. How can I get the seat open? Help!!

Jetfixer is right, I didn't catch you said you turned it to the left. If turning it to the right doesn't work then see above.
