Well I bought a Burgman 650 service manual and I am slowly converting it into multiple PDF files so I can take it with me on my ipad. This will be a long process and there will be lots of large files. If anyone is interested in a copy, send me your email address. Not sure when I will get it done but I am working on it.

The cover says Part # 99500-36116-03E
Looks like it has been updated with additions from the 2004 through to the 2012 model.

Section 107 contains a list of the various purposes for which the reproduction of a particular work may be considered fair, such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Section 107 also sets out four factors to be considered in determining whether or not a particular use is fair.
 1.
The purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes
The nature of the copyrighted work
The amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole
 2. The effect of the use upon the potential market for, or value of, the copyrighted work
The distinction between what is fair use and what is infringement in a particular case will not always be clear or easily defined. There is no specific number of words, lines, or notes that may safely be taken without permission. Acknowledging the source of the copyrighted material does not substitute for obtaining permission.

Suzuki pretty much promised me they were planning on releasing PDF manual for iPad sometime this year but I'm not holding my breath and found one on Scribd for the meantime. I think complaining publically on their Facebook page gets much faster results than on a third party forum. Always complain as high up on the food chain as you can! That's my motto, heh.

They actually have one which is what I'm pretty sure they use for their print on demand service manuals ordered through here. I think the reason they resist is copying and spreading it is much easier with a digital copy vs. paper.
