I had the bike parked outside and someone snapped off my fuel flap. Luckily all the parts were there but I had an unusable flap. So I figured I would try and fix it.

I got myself some Selleys Kneadit
http://www.selleys.co.nz/putty/epoxy/knead-it-steel/

I don't know if this is available outside of New Zealand but can only assume it or something very similar is available in most hardware stores

I shaped it around the broken plastic such that when it set I could fit the spring. Remember when shaping the epoxy compound, leave room for the spring to sit and rotate on the cross piece

That's B.S. when "a-rectum" people do that cr-p to bikes! I had my reflector license plate screws stollen once, then right after I got this 650 Burgy someone stole my license plate & inspection sticker, bracket & all. I'm a DAV I don't know where anyone would use a disabled plate. I called & turned it in to the police. They were very interested! they said "well-----"! Guess stolen plates aren't on their list!
