when i'm riding and i hit a defect in the road where i cannot help hitting it.it sometimes sounds like my front end is BOTTOMING OUT..and at low speeds i have a little shimmy shake is what i like to call it at high speeds no shake ..anyone want to take on this 1 :).other than that bike is riding fine and dandy

There is painfully little travel in the suspension on the 400's and may just be normal.
I have a RR track crossing that will bottom mine out every time.
But checking the fork oil isn't a bad idea as is the setting under the seat for the rear mono-shock.

Oh Shift! The fork oil is in the forks (sorry, kinda a duh answer) and requires diss-assembly with no easy way to check it.
My least favorite thing to do on bikes! :?
On the other hand the rear shock can be adjusted easily with the knob under the left-side above the tranny.
The higher the number the stiffer it gets. :wink:
