what size is this? M7 M8 M9 etc??
reason for asking is i want to attach a RAM BASE mound on the handle bar, basically the same as this guy:

I can only assume he uses a ram mount base wich is attached using the hande bar clamp bolts
OR he uses a U bolt base to clamp around the bar without using the bolts

In anyway, it had to be something that is very central cause on the pics the BALL is on the very middle of the steering construction.
