I live in the area and since you are going to be in Johnson City, it is a shame you are going to ride a far less challenging ride and not ride the best one. If you can, you should ride about 70 miles up I-81 to Marion, Va. and ride the Back of the Dragon (http://backofthedragon.com/). Another better ride that is closer is the Snake (http://www.421thesnake.com/)

Im planning on coming to this rally, sounds like some great riding, also there is a great road 226-A going up the mountain to little switzerland inn which is dragon like 111 curves in 11 miles or something, runs right into the blue ridge pkwy at the top. ive riden the snake last year and it was probably the most beautiful scenery ive riden, long sweeping curves and a really nice smooth road too!
also just to clarify before i make my reservations, we are staying at Pioneer Motel & Cottages both nights?

Count me in as well this sounds great too me. I loved the end of fall ride last year.
My suggestion would be to possibly list ride on www.scoot.net/calendar so as to increase exposure and help people plan.

i called and mentioned scooter club and they didnt know what i was talking about, they have a family reunion group who will be there from 13th-17th and they are on bikes but nothing about this rally. i would like to know as soon as possible so deedah and I can make reservations and plan on coming to this ride. FYI motel cancelations are 72 hrs and cabin cancelations are within 30 days for refunds.

Charlotte NC area group will be arriving on Thursday
Holly and I have made our reservations in Tellico Plains for Thursday night, June 13th, and we have made our reservations in Cherokee, NC for both Friday and Saturday nights. On Saturday we will ride with the group until lunch, then we are turning around and heading back down the Parkway to Cherokee. We are looking forward to seeing everyone again and meeting anyone we have not met before on the End-of-Summer or First-of-Fall Rides. See you all soon!! Del
WE ARE GOING TO SHORTIN THE RIDE ...................AFTER CALCULATION WE ARE SWITCHING THE VENUE ERWIN TN. IS 100 MILES AND WITH 2 STOPS ON THE WAY IT WOULD BE 3hrs ... So going same way but having lunch in ,HOT SPRINGS Tn. 62 miles,. 1 hr. & 40min. .at the Smokey Mountain Dinner , 70 Lance Ave Hot Spring 28743 ............ We have arrived in Tellico Plains, and we beat the rain. Staying at the Lodge at Tellico, room 104. We ate lunch at the Tellico Grians Bakery and WOW, the sandwiches were large and great tasting. Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. We have seen two other scooters riding around here. Ride safe, Del and Holly
