Market in 2012: the year of the maxi-scooter
In more than 125 cm3, if the bike fell 6.4%, the scooter he is doing well, with an increase of 36.9%. This seems to reflect the need for practical modes of travel and the growth of commuters, a segment in which many are new arrival in 2012 (Yamaha TMAX 530, Honda Integra 700 scooter BMW C 600 GT and C650 Sport ...). The new A2 license to mention automatic will probably be able to respond even more to those specific needs.
Feet and wheels, Yamaha TMAX is the head of the class maxis, rising even with the arrival of the new model from the beginning of the year. And 5087 models were registered TMAX 530 and TMAX 500 1384 have been sold. The expected competitor, the BMW C 600 Sport, failed to challenge the hegemony of king T Max, obviously penalized by late deliveries (537 units). Moreover there as customers prefer BMW GT sold 644 copies this year. Finally, the Honda Integra 700 makes an entrance with 1062 registered vehicles on the Aprilia SRV 850, sales volumes can be compared to the volume of fire Gilera GP 800 (in its heyday), totaling 2012 485 units.

That is very interesting, thank you for sharing.
It would be interesting to see the local pricing for each model.
BMW have done impressively well considering that it was not a full sales year for them, equally Honda have done well with the Integra.
The Burgman 650 may have been affected by potential buyers awaiting for the new model, however the TMax is unassailable in Europe.

Part of the lacking Burgman 650 sales could be the fact that you need to be an expert to tell a 2012 from a 2002

Me think 4 thing affect sale of Burgie 650 in France, fuel economie, problem of CVT and bolt, purchase price and permit for 650 class, believe it much easier to purchase and have permit for lower displacement bike than larger bike

Fuel very expensive in Europe ($7.50 U.S for one U.S. gallon) so comuter look for more efficient bike and VAT (Valu add tax) make bike very very expensive.

Buyers in Europe have a lot of choice in the 125 to 400 cc market.
