Be very careful ordering accessoriy top boxes from these people .. I ordered one direct by phone from Bestem usa in Tucker Georgia last Wed . Received a shipping notice and tracking UPS .. Today I received an innocuous email with no ref. numbers from someone at cruiser backrest saying my box was damaged and what did I want to do ?????
Have no idea what to do . Went to Web site and all contact info is blacked out .. Will have to investigate some more but as of now am at a total loss FYIO.called a phone but no answer

I went and looked and at the time I checked all looked well. I ordered from them in 2011, and received good service and product.

Ordered mine last month or so and had no issues at all. Was a speedy shipment too. Their Facebook page was also helpful as they were giving a 10% discount promo at the time.

billmusser, if you ordered from Bestem why would cruiser backrest have anything to do with it? Sometimes you can get spam after ordering something and you should never respond to any email from someone you did not place the order from. Did you call the same phone number you ordered from? I think that Cruiser Backrest and Bestem is one and the same or that Cruiser Backrest is the importer for the Bestem stuff.

I bought a 2012 Bestern top box last year and the clear coat is bubbling up all over the top of the box... A bit pissed off and will never buy from them again... I have to replace the box as it looks like do-do... emailed the seller and no response...

Well folks ordered a 529 box from Amazon and recieved today .. Found out that cruiser Backrest and Bestem r the same people . talked with Bestem and they assured me all the mounting hardware is with the box... and it was no problem mounting on the bergman .I asked specifically if there were any problems mounting with no luggage rack . Twice I specifically asked them . No problem they said ... everything there . Got the instructions on how to mount to a LUGGAGE RACK...fancy that ok they reference a FAQ on how to mount the the box on the bergman .. Went there found nothing ..on FAQ Will send it back and spend the money for a GIVI unless someone can help me out and i am not totally challenged mechanically . Just finished hardwiring my GPS after taking all the panels off the front , took both backrests off and changed the oil.. But i sure cant figure this thing out

well read LeDudes installation and not being a a metal fabricator with machine tools and drill presses have declined to go through all that stuff . I amsure there a r welders and fabricators out there to whom this would be a breeze but not me

You're going to have one heck of a time mounting it on a Bergman. :lol:

I bought the model 2012 with the universal mounting plate... After reading LeDudes write up,,, a trip to the hardware store to buy some longer bolts and some one inch spacers... removed the rear plate and drilled out where the "X"s are... The plate mounted up and with a washer or two to level it up... Works... I am about to upgrade to a larger box that will fit 2 helmets... I am going to get the new box basic black,,, I will paint the top to match the Burg... If you need the parts that I used,,, I will try to take the plate off tomorrow and let u know what I used... not hard at all...

They are an excellent company and will always stand behind their customer, despite being a bit slow at times in getting back to people.

I have had a great relationship with them... have two new products from them to review, a case liner and top-box rack, will get them out soon.
