the other day (my first day of ownership) I'm riding the 400 and I'm sitting at a traffic light when I hear this beeping sound. I thought it was coming from the car ahead of me but I soon learned it was coming from my bike. It is an intermittent beep varying in duration. It might sound while moving or stopped or even with the bike parked and shut off. No mention of any alarm in the owners manual. Dealership didn't know either. Anybody else have this happen.

My Burgman is a 2008 400. Thanks.

Have you washed your bike with soap recently?

Check for an alarm. Maybe the previous owner put one on?

I've been told that this is fuel venting. Like a pressure relief valve venting. Could this be it. I happens especially when the weather is warm.

it's a high pitched sound. I thought it was electronic, but I guess it could be venting. It only happens when the bike is hot. The bike seems fine and runs normally.
