is it ok to run a battery tender into the cigarette lighter on a "04" 400 burgman? This is the first time I've used this forum. I bought this bike in Sept. 2011 and have put five grand on it so far. But now with the temps in the teens I want to start using a tender on it. Thanks folks. JUST ANOTHER NEWBIE. John C.

Don't know if they are all the same but on my UK model the cig lighter is only live with the ignition on
so it would only charge with the ignition on so you are better going direct to the battery.

Thanks Ralph M. I never thought about the switch having to be on. You are right of course. To the battery it will be.

Leave the polarized pig-tail for the charger/maintainer
hanging out past the battery cover in the glovebox...
file a small notch in the bottom edge of the glovebox door
for the power cord to come out, so you can close the door.
Works fine for me, that way.
